Welcome to USA FIT Cypress!
Our 10k Training starts soon. You can sign up now to be ready to run the local Turkey Trot or just to get a jump start on those Holiday calories. Our program begins on August 9th. We offer a safe, fun, non intimidating environment for runners of all abilities. We will start at a 1 mile run and work up to 6.2 miles by Thanksgiving. This group is a great way to try out the sport of running.
CyFit is a group of athletes training for 10k, half and full marathon distance races, ultra distance races and sprint distance triathlons in the Spring, Fall and Winter of each year. We have a dedicated walking program as a part of our half marathon training and offer advanced training through Team Fit for more experienced athletes. We provide coached workouts twice weekly and hydration supported runs. We are a local group with the resources of the proven, successful USA Fit running program.
We start wherever you are. Walker? Brand new runner? Seasoned marathoner? Great. No matter what your conditioning or pace, there will be others to train with. Over the course of six short months, our coaches will help achieve your personal best in a non-intimidating, fun, and safe environment.
We offer multiple training groups and seasons:2014 Seasons are in progress and 2015 Annual planning is underway. Look for registration to open 4-6 weeks prior to season start.
Annual CyFitizens train with us from January – January
Session 1 – December target race – training starts in June.
Session 2 – January target race – training starts in July. (Registration opens April 26)
Triathlon Training – A 12-16 week training program targeting summer races, start date to be announced. (Spring of 2015)
Turkey Trot (10k) registration opens in August for a Thanksgiving Race.
Ultra Fit – If you dream of going beyond 26.2, Ultra FIT can help get you there! Ultra FIT is a training program designed to help runners accomplish the goal of completing a 50 mile distance. Ultra FIT targets a winter race and kicks off in the summer months.
ATP/Team Fit – The training is more rigorous than our original training schedule and will require more consistency and commitment from the runner. Half and full marathon runners of all pace groups are welcome to join! Because the workouts are longer and more intense it is best if runners have a 3 month base before starting. This will decrease injuries and improve overall fitness.
As a member of USA FIT Cypress, you’ll receive:
- ability-based Saturday morning group runs;
- daily training schedules to keep you progressing during the week;
- encouragement and expertise from trained coaches;
- weekly informational seminars on running-related topics;
- camaraderie and social events;
- CyFit technical T-shirt.
25 weeks isn’t that long a time when you’re among friends all working toward a common goal. But the even greater benefit is what happens when you conquer your own personal challenges. Our members are fitter, happier, and mentally stronger than they’ve ever been before. Through this training, people change their lives forever.
